    <p>3-Hydroxyphenylboronic acid is a compound that contains an hydroxy group. It was obtained by reacting 3-hydroxybenzoic acid with boron trichloride in anhydrous acetonitrile. When the reaction mixture was heated, a white precipitate formed, which was isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography. The chemical structure of 3-Hydroxyphenylboronic acid was confirmed by molecular modelling, and the compound was found to be insoluble in water. The compound has been shown to react with dopamine at physiological pH levels, forming a colorless product. In addition, it has been shown to have antiviral activities against human serum and inhibit the growth of multi-walled carbon nanotubes.</p>
