15-deoxy--12,14-prostaglandin J2 (15d-PGJ2) is a prostaglandin that is produced by 3T3-L1 preadipocytes in response to various stimuli. 15d-PGJ2 has been shown to inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines and may be an important modulator of inflammation. 15d-PGJ2 has also been shown to induce autophagy and apoptosis in cancer cells.
