Immethridine

Description:
Immethridine, identified by its CAS number 87976-03-2, is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of substances known as antihistamines. It is primarily characterized by its ability to act as a selective antagonist of histamine H1 receptors, which makes it useful in the treatment of allergic reactions and conditions such as hay fever. The molecular structure of Immethridine typically includes a piperidine ring, contributing to its pharmacological properties. It is known for its moderate lipophilicity, which influences its absorption and distribution in biological systems. Additionally, Immethridine may exhibit sedative effects, a common characteristic of many first-generation antihistamines. Its safety profile, potential side effects, and specific therapeutic applications are subjects of ongoing research, as with many compounds in this category. As with any pharmaceutical agent, it is essential to consider dosage, contraindications, and interactions with other medications when evaluating its use in clinical settings.

  • Immethridine

    CAS:
Immethridine is a cell-permeable, non-peptide, small molecule that binds to the h2 receptor. It has been shown to induce pluripotent stem cells from mouse embryonic fibroblasts and to inhibit tumor growth in a mouse model of cancer. Immethridine also inhibits chronic kidney disease by preventing co-stimulatory molecules from binding to the T cell receptor. Immethridine has been shown to bind specifically to the dopamine D2 receptor subtype, which is associated with Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia and drug addiction. Immethridine may be used as an antigen for immunotherapy due its ability to stimulate Th2 cells in response to antigens.
