:Benzenemethanol, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-α-[(methylamino)methyl]-, hydrochloride (1:1)
Description:
Benzenemethanol, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-α-[(methylamino)methyl]-, hydrochloride (1:1), commonly known as a derivative of methoxyphenol, is a chemical compound characterized by its aromatic structure, which includes a benzene ring substituted with hydroxyl and methoxy groups. The presence of the methylamino group indicates that it has potential amine characteristics, which can influence its reactivity and solubility. As a hydrochloride salt, it is typically more soluble in water compared to its free base form, enhancing its utility in various applications, particularly in pharmaceuticals. This compound may exhibit biological activity, potentially acting as a neurotransmitter or influencing other physiological processes. Its molecular structure suggests it may participate in hydrogen bonding due to the hydroxyl group, affecting its interactions with other molecules. Safety data should be consulted for handling and usage, as with any chemical substance, to ensure proper precautions are taken.

CAS:
Rac Metanephrine hydrochloride is a drug that is used to measure the levels of metanephrine in plasma. It is a synthetic analogue of the endogenous hormone metanephrine, which is made from dopamine and norepinephrine. Rac-metanephrine hydrochloride is used as an indicator of prognosis in patients with extravasation injury. The drug can be injected into the tissue to test for leaks, or it can be administered intravenously to assess the patient's response to drugs. Rac-metanephrine hydrochloride binds to phosphatidyl ethanolamine in cells and its intracellular levels are measured by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). This drug has been shown to have a neuroprotective effect in mice with Parkinson's disease. Rac-Metanephrine hydrochloride also inhibits the release of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) and increases sphingolipid metabolism
Formula:C10H16ClNO3Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:233.69 g/molrac Metanephrine Hydrochloride Salt (0.1 mg/mL in Methanol)
