:Vonoprazan
Description:
Vonoprazan is a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) primarily used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other acid-related disorders. It functions by inhibiting the gastric H+/K+-ATPase enzyme, leading to a significant reduction in gastric acid secretion. Unlike traditional proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), vonoprazan offers a more rapid onset of action and a longer duration of acid suppression. Its chemical structure features a pyridine ring, contributing to its unique mechanism of action. Vonoprazan is typically administered orally and has been shown to provide effective symptom relief and healing of esophagitis in clinical studies. Additionally, it has a favorable pharmacokinetic profile, with a relatively high bioavailability and minimal drug interactions. As a result, vonoprazan represents an important advancement in the management of acid-related gastrointestinal conditions, offering an alternative for patients who may not respond adequately to conventional therapies.

CAS:
Vonoprazan is an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit. It is a prodrug, which undergoes hydrolysis in vivo to form vonoprazan fumarate. Vonoprazan has been shown to have a long-term efficacy in therapy groups and has been successfully used for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection with no evidence of resistance. Vonoprazan fumarate increases the susceptibility of bacteria to fluoroquinolones and other antibiotics, including tetracycline, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and trifluoroacetic acid. Vonoprazan also inhibits the synthesis of bacterial proteins by binding to 16S ribosomal RNA, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
Formula:C17H16FN3O2SPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:345.39 g/mol
