Ac-Glu-Ser-Glu-Asn-AMC is also an inhibitor of ion channels, which are membrane proteins that control the flow of ions across cell membranes. Acetylcholine receptors (AChR) have been found to be inhibited by Ac-Glu-Ser-Glu-Asn-AMC, but it does not inhibit nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR).</p>
