    <p>Amberlite IRC-50 ion exchange resin is a high-performance, acidic ion exchange resin. It is manufactured by Rohm and Haas Company and can be used as an alternative to sephadex g-100 for blood group analysis. The optimum concentration of Amberlite IRC-50 is 1% in a nutrient solution with a pH of 4.5 to 6.0. This resin has excellent binding capacity for methyl ethyl, sephadex g-100, and fatty acids. The structural analysis of the resin reveals that it consists of sodium carbonate and a mixed matrix of polystyrene sulfonic acid (PSSA) and polystyrene carboxylic acid (PSCA). The kinetic data revealed that the reaction mechanism involves protonation followed by ionization of the fatty acid groups on the resin surface. The optimum pH is between 7 and 8.</p>
