Insulin II is a peptide hormone that is secreted by the beta cells of the pancreas. Insulin II regulates glucose metabolism, promotes protein synthesis and inhibits lipolysis. It can be used as a research tool to study protein interactions, activators and ligands, receptor binding and ion channel activity. Insulin II can also be used to generate monoclonal antibodies against insulin II.
