CAS 9043-30-5
:Polyethylene glycol isotridecyl ether
Description:
Polyethylene glycol isotridecyl ether, with the CAS number 9043-30-5, is a non-ionic surfactant commonly used in various industrial and consumer applications. This compound is characterized by its hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) backbone, which enhances its solubility in water, and a hydrophobic isotridecyl ether group that contributes to its surfactant properties. It typically exhibits low toxicity and good compatibility with a wide range of substances, making it suitable for use in formulations such as detergents, emulsifiers, and wetting agents. The structure allows it to effectively reduce surface tension, facilitating the mixing of oil and water phases. Additionally, polyethylene glycol isotridecyl ether is known for its stability across a range of pH levels and temperatures, which enhances its utility in various formulations. Its applications extend to personal care products, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural formulations, where it can improve the delivery and efficacy of active ingredients. Overall, this compound is valued for its versatility and effectiveness in enhancing product performance.

CAS:
Polyethylene glycol monoisotridecyl ether (PEG-DTAE) is a polymer that can be used as an antimicrobial agent. It is active against Gram-positive bacteria but not against Gram-negative bacteria. PEG-DTAE has anti-angiogenic effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the growth of new blood vessels and thereby prevent the spread of infection. In vitro assays have shown that PEG-DTAE can induce cell lysis and hemolysis in test samples. PEG-DTAE has been shown to have hemolytic activity in vivo in rats, with histology sections showing inflammation and necrosis in the spleen and liver. This polymer also causes symptoms such as fever, chills, rigors, and hypotension in patients with chronic renal failure who are undergoing dialysis.
Formula:C30H62O10Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:582.8 g/mol
