CAS:<p>1,2,3,4-Tetrahydroquinoline-2-carboxamide is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme histidine decarboxylase. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against certain cancer cells and inhibit the proliferation of other cells in culture. 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydroquinoline-2-carboxamide has shown a potent inhibition of serotonin synthesis and significant anti-inflammatory effects in animal models. This drug also inhibits the production of retinoic acid by binding to the retinoic acid receptor subtype II receptor.
