4H,5H-[1,2,4]Triazolo[4,3-a]quinazolin-5-one is a quinazolinone drug that inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the DNA gyrase enzyme. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. 4H,5H-[1,2,4]Triazolo[4,3-a]quinazolin-5-one has been shown to have broad antimicrobial activity against both aerobic and anaerobic organisms. This compound also has a low toxicity to mammalian cells in culture.
