CAS:Ethoxyacetylene is used in Arens-van Dorp synthesis to prepare propargyl alcohol via reaction with ketone. In organic synthesis, it undergoes [2+2] cycloaddition reactions with ketenes to give cyclobutenone derivatives. It is also used to prepare alpha, beta-unsaturated esters from ketones by follow

CAS:Ethyl ethynyl ether is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of amides. It has been shown to be a good model system for the understanding of polycarboxylic acids, which are important in inflammatory diseases. The preparation of this compound is carried out by reacting ethyl diazoacetate with hydrochloric acid and diacylglycerol in trifluoroacetic acid. This reaction produces a mixture containing ethyl ethynyl ether and ethyl diethynyl ether in a ratio of 1:3. The nitrogen atoms present in this molecule have been identified by magnetic resonance spectroscopy. In addition, the distance between these atoms was determined using NMR spectra and confirmed using preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
