CAS:
2-Amino-3,4,8-trimethyl-3H-imidazo[4,5-f]quinoxaline is a metabolite of the heterocyclic amine 2-amino-1-methyl-6-(phenylamino)pyridine (PhIP) and is a potential carcinogen. It has been detected in human urine samples with an inhibitory effect on the amine oxidase activity. 2A3MTQx inhibits the growth of V79 cells and induces apoptosis in zanthoxylum bungeanum cells. This compound is genotoxic and can cause DNA damage; however, it does not induce chromosomal aberrations or sister chromatid exchanges in v79 cells. The toxicity of this compound to intestinal tissues has not been studied.
Formula:C12H13N5Purity:Min. 95 Area-%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:227.27 g/mol
