CAS 98446-49-2
:2,4-Dichloro-5-methoxybenzenamine
Description:
2,4-Dichloro-5-methoxybenzenamine, with the CAS number 98446-49-2, is an organic compound characterized by its aromatic structure, which includes a benzene ring substituted with two chlorine atoms and a methoxy group, as well as an amino group. This compound typically appears as a solid at room temperature and is soluble in organic solvents. The presence of the amino group (-NH2) suggests that it can participate in various chemical reactions, including nucleophilic substitutions and coupling reactions. The dichloro substitutions indicate that it may exhibit specific reactivity patterns, particularly in electrophilic aromatic substitution reactions. Additionally, the methoxy group can influence the electronic properties of the molecule, potentially affecting its reactivity and interaction with other chemical species. This compound may have applications in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, or as an intermediate in organic synthesis, although specific applications would depend on further research and development. Safety and handling precautions should be observed, as with many chlorinated compounds, due to potential toxicity and environmental concerns.

CAS:
2,4-Dichloro-5-methoxyaniline (2,4-DMA) is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by interfering with cellular processes such as DNA replication and protein synthesis. It has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. In addition, 2,4-DMA can inhibit the growth of cancer cells by preventing epidermal growth factor from binding to its receptor on the cell surface. A recent study showed that 2,4-DMA has anti-angiogenic properties and can prevent tumor growth by inhibiting bcr-abl kinase activity. 2,4-DMA also has an acidic property which may be due to its conversion of trifluoroacetic acid into hydrogen fluoride (HF) and hydrogen chloride (HCl).
2,4-Dichloro-5-methoxyaniline was approved for use in Japan
Formula:C7H7Cl2NOPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White To Pink SolidMolecular weight:192.04 g/mol
