:(2E)-6,6-dimethyl-N-(naphthalen-1-ylmethyl)hept-2-en-4-yn-1-amine
Description:
The chemical substance known as (2E)-6,6-dimethyl-N-(naphthalen-1-ylmethyl)hept-2-en-4-yn-1-amine, with the CAS number 99473-11-7, is an organic compound characterized by its complex structure, which includes a heptene backbone with both alkenyl and alkynyl functional groups. This compound features a naphthylmethyl substituent, contributing to its aromatic properties and potentially influencing its reactivity and interactions. The presence of multiple methyl groups enhances its hydrophobic character, which may affect its solubility in various solvents. The amine functional group suggests potential basicity and the ability to form hydrogen bonds, which can be significant in biological systems or when considering its role in chemical reactions. Additionally, the specific stereochemistry indicated by the (2E) configuration implies a particular geometric arrangement that can influence the compound's physical and chemical properties, such as melting point, boiling point, and reactivity. Overall, this compound's unique structure may lend itself to applications in pharmaceuticals, organic synthesis, or materials science, depending on its specific properties and behavior in different environments.

N-[(2E)-6,6-Dimethyl-2-hepten-4-ynyl]-1-naphthalenemethanamine
CAS:
N-[(2E)-6,6-Dimethyl-2-hepten-4-ynyl]-1-naphthalenemethanamine (DHEA) is a human metabolite and an endogenous hormone. DHEA has been shown to have antifungal activity against Candida albicans in vitro. It also possesses an inhibitory effect on the growth of some fungi that are resistant to azole drugs, such as Coccidioides immitis, Cryptococcus neoformans and Blastomyces dermatitidis. DHEA has been used in the treatment of pediatric patients with chronic granulomatous disease and is currently being evaluated for use in other pediatric conditions.
Formula:C20H23NPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:277.4 g/mol
