It also inhibits cell factor (CF) and other biological properties. This binding leads to an increase in apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. Vatalanib has been shown to be effective against metastatic colorectal cancer and other solid tumours. CAS:<p>5-Bromo-2-(2-methoxyethoxy)pyridine (BMP) is a compound that has been shown to have anticancer activity. BMP was found to have synergistic effects with doxorubicin and etoposide in vitro and in vivo, and also showed apoptotic cell death when introduced into cells. It has been found to be effective against a variety of tumor xenografts in mice, including sarcoma 180, Neuro 2A, Lewis lung carcinoma, and human colon cancer. The pharmacokinetic properties of BMP are not well understood as it is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. However, it has been observed that BMP is expressed at high levels in cardiac tissue and tumor tissues.
