It has been shown to have antibacterial activity against strains of P. aeruginosa and S. aureus, with MIC values of 12.5 µg/mL and 25 µg/mL, respectively. The MIC value for 4-(2-Methoxy-phenyl)-thiazol-2-ylamine against E. coli was found to be 100 µg/mL. 4-(2-Methoxy-phenyl)-thiazol-2-ylamine has been shown to inhibit the growth of organisms such as Escherichia coli, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro.
