8-Nitroquinolin-5-ol
CAS:<p>8-Nitroquinolin-5-ol is a trisulfide that has shown anticancer activity. It induces apoptosis in cancer cells, which may be due to inhibition of DNA synthesis and nucleophilic reactions. The mechanism of action is not well understood. 8-Nitroquinolin-5-ol has been shown to have antitumor effects on human lung cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, but not on normal lung cells. This drug is synthesized by the biomimetic process of hydrogen chloride activation with molecular modeling studies.
