CAS:1-(2-Methoxyethyl)pyrrolidin-3-amine is a novel non-opioid, non-NSAID analgesic that is being developed for the treatment of pelvic and infectious diseases. It has also been shown to have antiinflammatory and neuroprotective effects in animal models. 1-(2-Methoxyethyl)pyrrolidin-3-amine inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by binding to cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. These COX enzymes catalyze the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins, which mediate pain, fever, inflammation and tissue growth. 1-(2-Methoxyethyl)pyrrolidin-3-amine has shown efficacy in treating cancer pain syndrome and inflammatory pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia or osteoarthritis. This drug has also been shown to be effective in treating endometriosis and aberrant signaling caused by inflammatory diseases
