CAS:<p>6-Bromo-3-methylisoquinoline is a potent inhibitor of protein kinase C (PKC), which is a family of enzymes that are involved in the regulation of many cellular processes. 6-Bromo-3-methylisoquinoline has been shown to selectively inhibit PKC. It also inhibits phosphorylation and induces apoptosis in cancer cells. 6-Bromo-3-methylisoquinoline inhibits PKC by binding to the catalytic site and blocking the ATP binding site, thereby preventing ATP from activating PKC. This drug has shown dose dependent inhibition on PKC with an IC50 of 1 µM at 100 µM concentration.
