Piperacetazine also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. The drug is not effective against viral infections, but it may be useful in treating some bacterial infections because it inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication.
