CAS:<p>Sulfathiazole is a sulfonamide antibacterial agent with a chemical structure similar to that of the sulfa drugs. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including those resistant to other antibiotics. Sulfathiazole has been shown to be effective against infectious diseases caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, and Salmonella typhi.
