This standard is an aqueous suspension of a formazin type product that carries all of the advantages of formazin but eliminates its shortcomings. Reagecon's Spectrophotometry Stray Light Inorganic 205 nm Cut-off Filter - Sodium Chloride is formulated to give zero absorbance at 205 nm wavelength. This standard is used to indicate to the analyst that the instrument is measuring light omitted from a source, other than through the sample cuvette.
