Cu(OTf) also undergoes reversible binding to chloride ions and undergoes a number of reactions including alkylation, aziridination, and acetonitrile. Copper(I) Trifluoromethanesulfonate has been shown to have antibiotic properties and binds tightly to bacterial ribosomes.
