Beschreibung:

Tylosin ist ein Makrolid-Antibiotikum, das hauptsächlich in der Tiermedizin eingesetzt wird, insbesondere für Nutztiere und Geflügel, um bakterielle Infektionen zu behandeln und das Wachstum zu fördern. Es wird aus dem Bakterium *Streptomyces fradiae* gewonnen und zeigt ein breites Wirkungsspektrum gegen grampositive Bakterien und einige gramnegative Bakterien. Tylosin wirkt, indem es die Proteinsynthese in Bakterien hemmt und so deren Wachstum und Fortpflanzung verhindert. Die Substanz wird typischerweise in Form ihres Tartratsalzes verabreicht, was ihre Löslichkeit verbessert. Tylosin ist bekannt für seine relativ geringe Toxizität bei Tieren, aber seine Verwendung ist bei Lebensmittelliefernden Tieren reguliert, um Antibiotikarückstände in Fleischprodukten zu vermeiden. Darüber hinaus wurde es auf seine potenziellen Anwendungen in der Aquakultur und als Futtermittelzusatz untersucht.
