Description :
Rapamycine, également connu sous le nom de sirolimus, est un composé macrolide avec le numéro CAS 53123-88-9. Il est produit par la bactérie *Streptomyces hygroscopicus* et est principalement connu pour ses propriétés immunosuppressives, ce qui le rend précieux dans la transplantation d'organes pour prévenir le rejet. Rapamycine fonctionne en inhibant la cible mammifère de Rapamycine (mTOR), un régulateur clé de la croissance cellulaire, de la prolifération et de la survie. Cette inhibition entraîne une réduction de l'activation et de la prolifération des cellules T.
