Description:Ac-DEVD-CHO is a potent inhibitor of the poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) cleavage by caspase-3 (IC₅₀ = 0.2 nM). PARP cleavage occurs at the onset of apoptosis. The peptide aldehyde was able to attenuate apoptotic events in vitro (IC₅₀ = 10 to 100 nM).
