Description:The allyl side-chain protection can be removed selectively using e.g. Pd(PPh₃)₄ in the presence of N-methylmorpholine allowing on-resin modification of the γ-carboxyl group. Due to the lack of steric hindrance of the allyl group, prolonged treatment with harsher Fmoc cleavage agents or even piperidine may induce side-reactions.
