Description:
The allyl side-chain protection can be removed selectively using e.g. Pd(PPh3)4 in the presence of N-methylmorpholine allowing on-resin modification of the g-carboxyl group. Due to the lack of steric hindrance of the allyl group, prolonged treatment with harsher Fmoc cleavage agents or even piperidine may induce side-reactions.
