Met-RANTES inhibited RANTES- or MIP-1α-induced chemotaxis of promonocytic THP-1cells and T-cells. Although Met-RANTES antagonized RANTES and MIP-1α with similar potency in the chemotaxis response it showed a clear difference in the cytokine-induced calcium mobilization assay.
