It has been shown to act as a competitive inhibitor of the serine protease, chymotrypsin, and cytochalasin B. Pz-Pro-Leu-Gly-Pro-D-Arg is a soluble substrate that can be used in tissue culture experiments with caco2 cells. This compound also has high solubility and is stable at pH values between 5 and 12.
