(+)-alpha-Pinene is employed in the preparation of chiral hydroboration reagents. It is a bronchodilator in humans. α-Pinene is an anti-inflammatory and used as a broad-spectrum antibiotic.It exhibits activity as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, aiding memory.
