<p>Dimethyl 4-hydroxyisophthalate (Dimetghyl 4-Hydroxyisophthalate) is a methyl salicylate analogue, used as a building block in the chemical synthesis.</p>

<p>Dimethyl 4-hydroxyisophthalate (DMI) is a synthetic phenyl compound that has been used as an analytical reagent for the detection of resorcylic acid in blood. It is also used as a high yield, low cost synthetic intermediate and has been shown to be stable when heated to 150°C. DMI can be used as a reagent for organic synthesis and has been shown to have an effect on bleeding time in mice. This compound may be effective as an oral anticoagulant because it inhibits platelet aggregation and prolongs bleeding time.</p>
