2-Aminophenol hydrochloride is a chemical that belongs to the group of diphenyl ethers. It has been shown to be carcinogenic in rats, but not in humans. 2-Aminophenol hydrochloride is also an aminophenol that can be synthesized by reacting benzene with ammonia and phenol. The reaction time for this synthesis is around 60 minutes. 2-Aminophenol hydrochloride reacts with catalytic reduction agents to form aromatic hydrocarbons, which are then fluorescent. This chemical has a pKa of 9.7 and is acidic in nature. It has been tested on humans and shown to have a dose-dependent response, meaning that it increases blood pressure at higher doses.
