This compound is stable in sephadex g-100, which allows for easy separation by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The analytical method for iodoacetic acid involves adding the compound to a buffer solution containing sephadex g-100 and measuring the decrease in light transmission at 236 nm over time.
