N,N-Diethyl-m-toluidine has been shown to inhibit heterocyclic amines from reacting with p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid which may prevent carcinogenesis. This product also has a chloride ion that will react with hydrochloric acid to form a fatty acid. The optical properties of N,N-Diethyl-m-toluidine are bathochromic and butyric acid.
