Adenosine 2'-monophosphate
Biosynth

    Product Information

    Name:Adenosine 2'-monophosphate
    Brand:Biosynth
Description:Adenosine 2²-monophosphate (AMP) is a nucleotide that is involved in cell metabolism. It is synthesized from adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and has been shown to be important for the regulation of cellular processes, such as enzyme activity, protein synthesis, and gene expression. AMP also plays a role in the activation of microglia cells and the protection of neurons. In addition, AMP has been shown to inhibit the phosphatase activity of gsh-px in vitro. The kinetic data for AMP is dependent on pH and temperature. At neutral pH, the kinetics are exponential with first order reactions at low concentrations and second order reactions at high concentrations. At alkaline pH, the kinetics are linear with first order reactions at low concentrations and second order reactions at high concentrations. The optimum ph for AMP is between 7-8.
