[1,3]Thiazolo[4,5-b]pyridine is a heterocyclic compound that is structurally similar to pyridine. It has been shown to act as an acceptor for hydrogen bonds and can be used in the synthesis of other compounds. [1,3]Thiazolo[4,5-b]pyridine has been shown to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and amine-producing strains of bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. This compound also acts as a nucleophile in pharmacophores that contain amines.
