3-(Trifluoromethyl)phenylhydrazine (3-TFHP) is a diphenol that is used as an intermediate for the synthesis of dyestuffs and pharmaceuticals. 3-TFHP has been shown to react with carboxylic acids and amines, forming triazoles. The reaction time depends on the functional groups present in the reactants.
