4-Fluoro-N,N-diphenylaniline is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H5F2NH. It can be prepared by alkaline hydrolysis of 4-fluoroaniline. This monomer can be used as a starting material to synthesize polymers and resins. 4-Fluoro-N,N-diphenylaniline has a cyclic structure, which is responsible for its optical properties. The compound has been shown to undergo cyclodehydration with or without solvents and in the presence of diacids. The solubility of this compound is temperature dependent and it changes from yellow at low temperatures to pale yellow at higher temperatures.
