3-[(4-Fluorophenyl)methyl]-2-sulfanylidene-1,3-thiazolidin-4-one is an inhibitor of ion channels. It binds to the alpha subunit of voltage gated potassium channels (Kv1.1) and inhibits potassium ion conductance. 3-[(4-Fluorophenyl)methyl]-2-sulfanylidene-1,3-thiazolidin-4-one has been shown to inhibit the binding of peptides and antibodies to receptors. This compound is used as a research tool for cell biology and in studies related to receptor interactions, ion channels, and peptides.
