Product Information
Lochnerine is a n-oxide that is derived from the indole alkaloid normacusine. It has shown to inhibit telomerase activity, which may be due to its chemical structures that are similar to those of daunorubicin. Lochnerine has also been shown to be an inhibitor of human leukemia cells in tissue culture and model studies. Chemically, lochnerine belongs to the monoterpenoid indole alkaloids group, which is a class of compounds found in plants of the Apocynaceae family.
