Description:

Trielaidin is a triacylglycerol that is composed of glycerol, oleic acid, and linoleic acid. It is a basic protein and can be used as a marker for lipase in wastewater treatment systems. Trielaidin has been shown to have enzyme activities, including p-nitrophenyl phosphate esterase and caproic acid hydrolase. Trielaidin can also be used as an analytical method for measuring the level of triolein in human serum. The biochemical composition of trielaidin includes triolein (6%), caprylic acid (2%), oleic acid (41%), linoleic acid (43%), glycerol (5%).
