6-Methylpterin is a compound that belongs to the group of sephadex g-100, wild-type strain, intramolecular hydrogen, trifluoroacetic acid, electronic, mitochondrial membrane potential, matrix effect, toll-like receptor, fetal bovine, reaction solution, untreated group. It has been shown to be effective in tumor treatment and has been used for the treatment of bladder cancer. 6-Methylpterin inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells by interacting with Toll-like receptors on their surfaces. It also reduces the expression of matrix metalloproteinases and collagenase in tumor cells. 6-Methylpterin binds to mitochondria and alters the mitochondrial membrane potential by inhibiting an electron transport chain enzyme called cytochrome c oxidase. This compound is not toxic in mice at doses up to 1g/kg body weight.
