1-Benzosuberone is an organic compound that is reactive. It has been shown to have inhibitory properties in pharmaceutical preparations. The 1-benzosuberone molecule binds to the active site of the enzyme methyl ketones, which catalyzes the oxidation of methyl ketones to form mcf-7. The binding of 1-benzosuberone inhibits this reaction, reducing the production of mcf-7. This reactive form may also be responsible for significant cytotoxicity and asymmetric synthesis in amines. 1-Benzosuberone has been shown to have receptor activity against cervical cancer cells and antimicrobial agents such as dimethyl fumarate and hydroxyl group.
