Product Information
Methyl 1-methylpyrrolidine-2-carboxylate (MPCA) is a ligand that binds to the dopamine receptors, which are located in the central nervous system. MPCA also has agonistic activity and it inhibits the release of dopamine. This compound has been shown to bind to the oxadiazole derivatives, which are ligands for dopamine receptors. The biological activity of MPCA has been demonstrated using a result from a neurotoxicity study in mice. MPCA is chemically similar to oxadiazole analogues, which have been shown to inhibit blood-brain barrier permeability.
