Description

3-Aminopropyltris(trimethylsiloxy)silane is a ligand that can be used as an intermediate in the preparation of imino compounds. Imino compounds act as inhibitors of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and are effective in the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. 3-Aminopropyltris(trimethylsiloxy)silane has been shown to be a selective inhibitor of TNF, with no effect on other cytokines. It has been shown to have long-term efficacy, which may be due to its high stability and low volatility. 3-Aminopropyltris(trimethylsiloxy)silane is photopolymerizable and can be used for the manufacture of polymer coatings in vacuum processes.
