Product Information
Name:AMP-PNP lithium hydrate
Synonyms:
- Adenosine 5′-(β,γ-imido)triphosphate lithium hydrate
Brand:Biosynth
Description:AMP-PNP is an inhibitor of the ATP-binding cassette transporter. It binds to the ryanodine receptor, which is a protein that regulates calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum in muscle cells. AMP-PNP has been shown to bind to and inhibit cell factor, which is a protein that plays a role in the regulation of cell proliferation. AMP-PNP also inhibits the c-jun phosphorylation and dna synthesis, thus inhibiting transcription and replication of DNA. This compound also has chemical inhibition properties due to its ability to bind with high affinity to zinc ions, as well as other metal ions such as copper or nickel. The binding of AMP-PNP with these metal ions results in structural changes at the active site of enzymes, which may lead to enzyme inhibition or activation.
