Description

Carumonam disodium is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that can be used for the treatment of infections caused by gram-negative bacteria. Carumonam disodium is a sulfazecin analog, which inhibits the synthesis of beta-lactamase enzymes. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of beta-lactamases from both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including those that are resistant to other antibiotics such as cefepime. Carumonam disodium has a low molecular weight, which makes it suitable for use in high flow rate applications. This compound can be used as an additive in chromatographic processes to enhance the separation of target compounds.
