1,3,5-Tri(p-tolyl)benzene is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C8H6O. It is soluble in organic solvents and has an aromatic odor. The molecule has three benzene rings which are connected by single bonds. The molecule also contains two methyl groups, each of which is bonded to one of the benzene rings. The resonance spectrum of 1,3,5-tri(p-tolyl)benzene has been analyzed using magnetic resonance spectroscopy and was found to have peaks at δ = 2.05 ppm and δ = 2.25 ppm. This compound can be synthesized through a Suzuki coupling reaction with potassium carbonate and 4-methylphenylboronic acid as starting materials.
